B+Z Event: Bookbinding Workshop with Stuart Hill

Artspace is excited to announce one of our Book + Zine affiliated events: Bookbinding with Stuart Hill!

Join expert Bookbinder and Instructor Stuart Hill, as he teaches how to make your own book using a Basic Cross Structure Binding!

Basic Cross Structure Binding:

The Cross Structure Binding is an alternative book structure that utilizes limp covers. The technique uses no adhesives and relies on sewing onto tabs, which interweave. For the book artist, the structure allows you to play with the weaving patterns of the tabs and the mixing of different cover materials.  A great simple alternative book structure.

Event Details:

The workshop will take place at Artspace on Friday March 1st, from 1-4pm. All are welcome to attend, with no bookbinding experience necessary!

Cost: $30 for Artspace Members, $40 for non-members.

*If cost is a barrier to your participation, please see our Pricing Policy (Click here)
