Crossing Paths

A Storytelling Project and Tour by Peg Town

Have you and I ever crossed paths?

I am Peg Town, and I’ve been living in Peterborough for 37 years, working for various non-profit organizations and small businesses, and actively engaging with the arts in this community. Crossing Paths is my storytelling project about certain people, exhibitions and events connected to Artspace, and to my own sense of identity and place.

Crossing Paths was launched in August and - due to positive public response - will continue into September and October 2024.

To experience Crossing Paths in person, you can pick up your copy of the project’s paper map - designed by my collaborator, Jillian Ackert - at Artspace, located at Unit 3, 378 Aylmer Street North, Peterborough.

The paper map illustrates various routes to 10 outdoor locations where the gallery has been and where Artspace held off-site events in its 50-year history. A poster at each location includes a QR code linked to the story I wrote about my connection with the site.

You can also experience the tour online on the Artspace website.
