Event Description:

This cherished event is a wonderful opportunity to peruse and support the work of over 20 local and regional comics artists, graphic novelists, letterpress printers, zine makers, and more! Book and Zine Fest is family-friendly and free to attend. From books to prints to poetry, there is truly something for everyone.

Feel inspired to try making your own zine, chapbook, or comic? This year we will also be featuring bookbinder and artist Stuart Hill of George Hill & Co. in our Maker Space. Stuart is presenting an array of high-quality bookbinding tools and supplies for purchase.

Artspace is excited to announce three additional Book + Zine events. Click each of the events below to learn more and register today:

  1. Open Studio: Comic and Zine Edition — Thursday, February 29, 6-8 pm

  2. Bookbinding Workshop with Stuart Hill — Friday, March 1, 1-4 pm

  3. PoetrySpace: A B+Z Poetry Reading Event — Friday, March 1, 6-9:30 pm


Accessibility

  • The gallery and washroom are both wheelchair-accessible, workshop tables will also be set up to accommodate mobility aids.

  • Earplugs are available on the day of for both vendors and patrons.

COVID 19

We are staying tuned to the COVID-19 and Respiratory Virus Risk Index and reserve the right to change our policy at any time, as per local Public Health recommendations.

For now, our policies are as follows:

  • We strongly recommend masking for all volunteers, staff, and vendors, except when eating or drinking.

  • We request that folks feeling ill and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms refrain from attending.

  • To minimize transmission, hand sanitizer is provided and HEPA filters are operating at all times.
