Crossing Paths
Welcome to the tour!
Crossing Paths presents a number of ways to engage with the selected sites and stories on both sides of the river in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough.
If you are using the project’s paper map to experience the tour, you can visit any or all of the 10 outdoor sites which are accessible day or night by foot, bike, and car. At each site you should find a Crossing Paths poster with a site-specific theme and image. Each poster also includes a reflective question and QR code to scan and link to the Artspace website where you can read a story written by Peg Town about the site’s history, thematic connection, and related images.
If you are engaging with the virtual tour, simply scroll down this page and select any of the 10 site links below for corresponding contents.
Whether you visit every site on your bicycle, contemplate a single reflective question from your vehicle, look at images of the sites online, or read the stories from the comfort of your couch… the experience is yours to design.
We have some tips:
Pick up your free paper map at Artspace, 3- 378 Aylmer Street North in downtown Peterborough, during regular gallery hours: 12 - 4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10am - 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Explore new paths and routes through your community by following the footpaths highlighted on the map.
Follow and use the hashtag #CrossingPathsWithArtspace on social media.
Share your reflections/thoughts/experiences of any or all of the Crossing Paths sites. Whether online or in person, we would like to hear from you!
