"Cowboy" Woodblock Print by Space/Art

$10.00

Title: Cowboy

Artist: Tim Laurin of Space/Art

Edition: 11

Size: 15.24cm x 10.16cm 6” x 4”

Inspo: I have been heavily influenced by the mid-century hollywood portrayal of "Cowboys and Indians".  As a member of the Metis nation, I often use cowboys in my work to question public perception and identity.  I consider artist-run-centres to be courageous and ground-breaking, much like the heroic cowboy icon.

Medium: Woodblock with hand colouring on Stonehenge paper

About Space/Art

To commemorate fifty years as an artist run centre, three board members of Artspace - Tim Laurin, Anne Pasek, and Aaron Robitaille have created a series of original prints under the collective name Space/Art.

Please help us continue to support our local arts community, artists and members by purchasing some of these works. All proceeds will go to our 50th Anniversary Fundraising initiative where we hope to raise $50,000 in 2024.
