Maker Space Open Studio- September 2024

Join us on Thursday evenings at Artspace for our bi-weekly Open Studio program! Participate in our planned activity or bring your own project, and come make some art in a calm, creative, community space.

6:00PM- 8:00PM.

What is Open Studio?

Open Studio is a FREE bi-weekly art program, that happens on the first and third Thursday of the month at Artspace. At Open Studio, community members of all ages and skill levels are invited to come out and make art alongside one another! Registration is required to participate.

What can I make?

Each Open Studio session, we have a set art-making activity, facilitated by a volunteer instructor. Community members can also bring their own project, OR utilize Maker Space materials such as collaging, zine making, mending, embroidery, colouring, knitting, or crochet.

Interested in joining us as a volunteer instructor? Click here to send us a message!

September Activity Schedule:

Thursday, September 5th: Summer Memories- Doodling and Drawing

Thursday, September 19th: Pride Tea Party- Crochet Coasters***

*** Special Notes for September 19th: In celebration of Pride week we are hosting a special Pride Tea Party!

It will run from 6-9pm instead of 6-8pm.

Join us for our Pride Tea Party! We will have tea and snacks, and yarn in all the colours of the rainbow. In typical Open Studio fashion, folks are also welcome to bring their own craft supplies and/or project- it’s really about making art together.

Masks are welcome and encouraged, and we will also have masks available for folks at the door.

A huge thank you to Pride Peterborough for their support of our Pride Tea Party event!
