Join celebrated artist and instructor Nicole Bauberger for this one-day workshop on advanced acrylic technique.
Designed to expand and deepen our knowledge of acrylic painting, participants will draw on each other's knowledge and experiences to develop their skills and advance their artistic goals.
This course is geared towards folks with some experience in acrylic painting, or an art practice more generally.
Course content will be tailored to the participants' interest but may include some or all of:
Thumbnail sketches to brainstorm ideas and refine a design
Materials experiments in preparing to paint
Painting on leather and cloth
Glazing and scumbling, i.e. layering transparent color with white
Using metallic and interference colors on a dark ground
Incorporating metallic and interference colors into wet paintings to avoid muddiness
Cost:
$60 per participant + a materials fee.
