Debbie Waker - Handmade Paper

I endeavour to make Eco-friendly paper. It is made from shredded recycled computer paper mixed with plant fibre. I use fibre that I can readily find around me, such as onions, leek, beets, corn, rhubarb and hosta. Each sheet is individually pulled so no two pieces are the same. This method also tends to produce a softer and often stiffer sheet of paper. It is suitable for writing or printing on, but not suitable for painting, in particular, water colours. Apart from selling individual sheets, I also make books and cards using my paper and I have a collage in an exhibition “The News Room’, at the ‘Hotam Press Gallery’, Vancouver. https://bookshopgallery.hotampress.com/
