Workshop: CONNECTION and Art Making

Art making can be a portal to an unknown world…  join local artists and instructors Jane Lowbeer and Brian Nichols, along with nine other art-makers, on a unusual journey.

Join Jane and Brian for a playful art-making workshop, as they take you through group and individual art-making activities, intended to deepen and grow connection in your personal art practice.

This one of a kind workshop will involve artistic exploration and play— a day of deepening our connections to self, others and unusual materials.

Throughout the day our artistic boundaries will bump and merge and separate again from the others. Be prepared to work collaboratively and on bigger and smaller scales than you might normally choose.

“Oscar Wilde said that some things are too important to be taken seriously. Art is one of those things. Setting the bar low, especially to get started, frees you to play, explore, and test without attachment to results.”

- Rick Rubin (2023) The Creative Act: a way of being. pg. 78

Come play!

This workshop is for art makers of all ages and skill levels, however is best suited for individuals ages 16 and up. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
