Join us for a weekend of community connection, wonderful art, and holiday cheer. We are so excited to bring together artists, art-enthusiasts, and community members to celebrate local arts and welcome in the holiday season!
The Event (2 Days)
On Friday December 2nd from 6-9pm Artspace will be transformed into a welcoming and cozy night market, offering a warm place to stop, shop, and enjoy a hot apple cider during the First Friday Ptbo Crawl.
On Saturday, the market is open 10am-4pm. On this day we will ALSO have a free art-making drop-in from 12 to 4pm in our new Maker Space. Please stop by and make an ornament with the lovely facilitators from Creating Space Peterborough.
The Fundraiser
Entry is by donation ($3 recommended) and we will be selling tickets for our raffle basket featuring donations from our talented vendors, and valued at over $200!
All proceeds will go directly towards supporting low-barrier arts programming in our Maker Space.
Accessibility
Masks are mandatory for all vendors, volunteers, and patrons.
Gallery washrooms are wheelchair accessible, and workshop tables will also be set up to accommodate mobility aids.
Earplugs will be available on the day for both vendors and visitors.

Dawn Moon Studio
DawnMoon Studio creates handmade one-of-a-kind earrings (pierced & clip-on) and sun catchers. In her words:
“I like to think of them as small pieces of wearable art that are unique (like you) and bring a moment of joy to your day. I hope my earrings make you feel confident when you wear them!”
Elizabeth Popham Fine Art
Elizabeth Popham works primarily in acrylics and photographic decoupage. Whether in botanical studies, portraiture and life drawing, Beth is drawn to the elegance of shape and line. Her favourite subjects could be called "micro-landscapes" or "natural abstracts".
Cedarlillie Beads
Dominique O’Bonsawin is an Abenaki/French-Canadian beadwork artist. In her words:
“Every woven bead is part of my reconnection journey to my Abenaki roots. It has become an important part of who I am. Beadwork is medicine in so many ways.”
Rob Niezen
Rob Niezen is a painter and printmaker living and working Douro, near Peterborough, Ontario. In printmaking he creates narrative pieces, working primarily with linocuts, including reduction prints. Recent work includes his ‘Heads & Tales' series that combines linoprint, blind deboss, collage (stamps), and text, and ‘Cross Cut’, a series of linocuts of traditional songs from Ontario from a contemporary perspective, using the traditional method of carving the material, and contemporary and experimental ways of mark making, including drilling, scratching, laser engraving and etching. An illustrated songbook and a music album are also part of this project.
Haille Dockery
Haille Dockery is a multidisciplinary artist from Mississauga Ontario. In her contemporary work she juxtaposes natural and synthetic material. In her illustration based work, it's all about cuteness, with a little bit of scary thrown in.
Summer Roads
Bea is an artist and flower farmer of Summer Roads Farm, where she grows flowers and raise bees, sheep, and chickens. At Summer Roads they farm using regenerative practices and she loves being able to bring you locally grown, raise, and hand made products from her farm. Bea will have a a combination of dried flower bouquets, candles, ornaments, honey, and more available for sale!
Arts of Delight
Linda Patterson has been a dollmaker for eight years, inspired by the dolls of Anna Brahms. She has explored many forms of dolls and continue to learn and grow in my craft every day.
Kathryn Durst
Kathryn Durst is an illustrator and printmaker based in Peterborough, ON. She makes picture books, paintings, zines, prints, and stationery. She is also a mural painter and sometimes performer. When she is not illustrating she can be found growing vegetables, folk dancing, and playing the accordion.
Bethany LeBlonc
Bethany LeBlonc is an emerging interdisciplinary artist currently working in Peterborough ON. Her main practice is in creating realist paintings, using acrylic paint layered with drawing mediums. She is a self taught painter, with a background education from the Haliburton School of Art & Design, where she completed her Visual & Creative Arts Diploma. Bethany is inspired by day to day life in her community through various perspectives, which is also influenced by her personal experiences. Bethany has shown in various settings; most recently an installation piece at Erring at King George through Public Energy & a group exhibition at the Propeller Art Gallery.
Kelly King Mosaics
Kelly King is a mixed media artist residing in Nogojiwanong. She has a background in Community Arts and has been working with mosaics for about 4 years. Kelly loves repurposing broken materials to give them new life in her designs and finds much of her inspiration from the natural world around her.
Walnuts and Wonders
Sammy is an all around nature nerd, always seeking be as good as squirrels at planting trees and processing nuts. She is doing all she can to deepen her connection to the earth through crafting in ways that hope to inspire others to take note of the abundant beauty around us. When not crafting she works farming, seed saving and tending fruit trees.

Fairy Island Fibres is the line of botanically dyed yarns clothing and decorative items from fibre artist Dylan Dammermann.

From early on, Kirsti has always used her creativity as an expression of her own reality. She begins with inspirations from her own family's ties to religion, sisterhood, and emotions such as grief and innocence to produce physical moments. She creates tactile art that can be touched, as well as emotionally connected to; forming an intimate experience for the viewer. Blurring the line between fine art and functional ceramics, Kirsti brings familiar emotions into tangible experiences
Timothy Laurin
Tim creates sculptural jewellery from vitreous enamels (glass fused) onto copper and sterling silver. As a graduate of the Sheridan School of Design, and holding a MFA from York, he focuses on form, colour and proportion within his work, whether large-scale or wearables.
Fanciful Hooker
Located in Peterborough, Ontario, The Fanciful Hooker is a textile studio inspired by the whimsical and fueled by recycled textiles. We create "fanciful" rug hooked and other textile items inspired by fantasy, visual puns or whatever you're nerding out on. Brad Copping is an artist and glassblower living and working in North Kawartha on the edge of the Canadian Shield. The inspiration he gains from this landscape and it’s waterways can be felt in much of his work.
Samantha Chiusolo
Samantha Chiusolo is an artist, illustrator, designer and muralist living in Peterborough and a former graduate of OCAD University. Her work reflects her surroundings, her history, and memories. Paired with a surreal colour palette, Samantha's images convey a sense of movement and energy of a specific moment in time and place.
