Join in community art-making as a means of self-care with art therapy student Lauren van Eijk.
For folks aged 18+ who are seeking a space to reconnect with the self, looking to get creative with their community, or simply wish to decompress with some art making. Come find calm, community, and care through creativity, and connect with self and others in a safe and vibrant space.
What to expect:
A safe and welcoming environment led by student art therapist and Artspace Member, Lauren van Eijk*
Guided art invitations rooted in creativity and self-expression
A chance to play and explore creative spontaneity
Optional sharing of art and reflections
Exploration with a variety of materials
New themes and activities each week
Trauma-informed, process-focused, and inclusive
*This member-led program is part of an art therapy intern practicum placement with Lauren. All sessions are conducted under the supervision of a registered art therapist in alignment with Kutenai Art Therapy Institute’s ethical and educational guidelines.
Cost: Registration is free but required. Feel free to make a cash donation in-person at each session. Sliding scale between $1 and $20. A contribution for the cost of materials is always appreciated.
