bird, buried press is based in Peterborough, and publishes writers and artists from or living in Ontario. Since 2016, the press has created over 20 chapbooks of poetry and fiction under the leadership of editor and designer Elisha May Rubacha, and poetry editor Justin Million. Most books in the bird, buried catalogue include one-of-a-kind features, and are sometimes created live for in-person or virtual audiences.

A sci-fi short story chapbook, written by bird, buried press publisher, Elisha May Rubacha. Within the walled city of ZarNik Jarr, Sheridan deals with the consequences of motherhood. This stand-alone story is part of a collection-in-progress, which also includes “33 Raz Street”, another short recently published in Exile Editions’ “Food of My People” anthology.
